During the first 12 months of 2009, cumulative import volume reached about 5,256 M/T, up 26% compared with last year’s 4,162 M/T.

At this month, import value reached USD 3,277 million and the average import unit price was USD 4.82/kg. Same period of 2008, import value reached USD 2,755 million and the average import unit price was USD 4.69/kg. Compared with the last year, the import value was up 19% and the average import unit price was down 3%.

During the first 12 months of 2009, cumulative import value reached about USD 24,754 million, and the average import unit price was USD 4.71/kg. The same period 2008 the average import value reached about USD 20,282 million, and the average import unit price was USD 4.87/kg.

The import value was up 22% and the import average unit price was down 3%.

Thailand (5,256M/T), Malaysia (4,980M/T), Saudi Arabia (2,561M/T), China (521M/T) are the main supplier by the end of December 2009.
